Ricardo Martins received his M.Sc. degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Coimbra, Portugal, in 2008.

Currently, he is a Ph.D. student (Doctoral Programme on Electrical and Computer Engineering - robotics and automation field) and researcher at the ISR-UC (Institute of Systems and Robotics - University of Coimbra) on the European Project HANDLE.

His research interests are robotic grasping, haptics, multimodal perception and imitation learning.
